I was wandering through the reaches of the internet and came upon a subject that I feel hasn't gotten nearly enough attention. How many of you actually knew that there is a 100% Fully synthetic self replicating bacteria? Did you also watch I Am Legend?
Honestly, I find it simply horrifying at all the possible misuses that this has but at the same time fascinating. Hopefully we don't have a zombie apocalypse in our near future, eh?

ReplyDeleteYeah, the genome is fully synthetic. So I can be more precise as to say that all of its genetic material is fully synthetic would be accurate I.E. its instructions, brains, whatever you want to call it.
