Interesting.. or scary?

I was wandering through the reaches of the internet and came upon a subject that I feel hasn't gotten nearly enough attention. How many of you actually knew that there is a 100% Fully synthetic self replicating bacteria? Did you also watch I Am Legend?



Honestly, I find it simply horrifying at all the possible misuses that this has but at the same time fascinating. Hopefully we don't have a zombie apocalypse in our near future, eh?

Tablet PCs

Dell tried this back in 2003 and now we have the iPad.





I personally hate the iPad and everything it stands for. Hey look, its a giant iPod that can do the same crap Kindle does for 5 times the price. I understand that Flash will soon be obsolete with the mainstreaming of HTML 5 coming. Honestly, anybody who buys one of these is absolutely ridiculous. I'm done ranting, lets hear your opinions on that lovely piece of craftsmanship known as the iPad (iPoop).

Analytical Expository Essay

The title says it all. This is what I'm currently working on which I have due in oh, 6 hours. The topic I chose is video game addiction (yeah common, boo, etc.) because its ever more prevalent in today's society.

Daily Update

So guys, had a totally awesome day yesterday neglecting my studies to enjoy customer appreciation night at the local bar (free beer!). Time to get back on track with some more technology related news.

Today is a sad, sad day for many as craigslist has censored its adult services section. Now sporting a black "censored" bar where the services section was once located, the days of craigslist prostitution are near close to over. The decision to censor the adult services section came after a young medical student committed suicide in his jail cell after meeting a masseuse via the website known as craigslist. A group of attorney generals in the state of Connecticut rallied together to pressure craigslist into making the decision, stating that there were not nearly enough methods of protection against illegal content.

Many people are fighting to keep the adult services, saying that the judgement was a blow to free speech - what do you think?

Wow...really?

A completely flexible screen. Think of all the uses for that. Technology is just so amazing and has evolved so fast from those old nintendos playing duck hunt to a T.V. you could roll up and throw in your pocket on the go.

Okay so, I've recently begun my quest as a computer science major and so far all of the computer-related classes are extremely easy. The only classes that I've had some difficulty with are the cores (writing, math, etc.) due to the fact that the teachers are pompous, arrogant pricks that only care to rant and rave about how much smarter they are than you instead of teaching the course. Currently writing an essay for my composition course, stay tuned!

First Blog

So I'm an avid computer science fan and I love viewing all the lovely internet forums that I come across. I have discovered so many amazing things since I've started using the internet forums and I've grown quite old over the past 4 or so years that I've spent on them. I've never had a blog before so I'm giving this a shot to see how popular it can be since I've been hearing about all these "viral videos" and whatnot on that Good Morning America lately.
